“Calling all tiny tots, kindie kids, yummy mum  delicious daddyos and groovy grandparents!”

When Australian singer Sherry Rich met Boston born musician Rick Plant in ‘music city’ Nashville, Tennessee, one thing lead to another and the Mudcakes were born! Along the way they have produced two beautiful babies and three CD’s of delightful, delicious music and a DVD for young families. The Mudcake’s debut album, ‘Songs for Little Monkeys’ was voted in the top ten children’s CD by The New York Post. Sold out shows at The Melbourne Recital Centre and Arts Centre Spiegeltent plus tours to New Zealand and the U.S have enhanced their reputation as favourites in the movement towards more organic adult friendly kids music - with songs all about the wild and wonderful ups and downs of family life in styles ranging from Hawaiian to reggae and garage rock.

Based in Australia since 2007, The Mudcakes bring a holistic approach to children’s entertainment… with singer/songwriter

Sherry Rich and Grammy and Oscar nominated musician, Rick Plant, producing most of their adult friendly kids music and videos at their home studio in a lovely historic bayside seaport near Melbourne.

Following the success of three critically acclaimed albums, The Mudcakes celebrated the release of their first ever DVD ‘Music Videos for Little Monkeys’ in 2012; ten little movie sweet treats served up to The Mudcakes’ best loved songs including ‘I’m a Sock’ and ‘Monkey Boy’ plus stop-motion and claymation clips, interviews and behind the scenes fun bites that kids and grown ups will love in equal measure. “We had terrific fun filming our children and their friends in our neighbourhood and favourite wild places …beaches, backyards, back alleys, lakes, gardens, footpaths, dance halls and skate parks around Melbourne andregional Victoria.”

So come swing your hips, howl and growl, catch a flying monkey, bang a bongo and even jump onstage to join in the fun! Perfect for little monkeys under 8 years old and their music loving folks.

"Great tunes, superior musicianship and a rollicking good band!" - ABC Radio 'Babytalk' Voted top 10 children’s CD by the New York Post
